Helen Crowley
Helen has lived on the Coast for 30yrs, the last 7 years at Lake Munmorah. She has worked as a general registered nurse for 20 years and a registered psychiatric nurse with post graduate diploma in Mental Health for 35 years in crisis intervention initially but concentrated in the management of inpatient units at Blacktown hospital and Gosford and Wyong hospitals. Helen was also one of the project managers during the building of the Wyong mental health complex. Since retirement she has volunteered at Lifeline Central Coast as a crisis and acute intervention counsellor.
She is committed to concentrating on the Council’s core business, in roads, footpaths, parks and gardens, childcare, the environment. She is also believes providing shelter to the homeless and women and children who are victims of domestic violence is important
Joy Cooper
Joy moved to the Central Coast in 1982, finished school and commuted daily to Sydney from the Central Coast while completing a degree in education which qualified her for teaching.
She been a regular speaker at Council's community forums, held before each council meeting. She stands up for the rights of the community where there were no elected representatives. She has a passion to help community groups and residents and have been known many times to help them navigate the ‘mystery’ of council processes.
Sarah Burns
Sarah has lived on the Central coast for most of her life, living in both Budgewoi and Wyong. She is an active member of several community groups.
Her lived experience with a child with disability has led her down a path of advocacy and community service.
She believes that we have a unique opportunity to have a council that will strive to strengthen Community ties across the Central Coast
