Joan is a long-term Central Coast local living in The Entrance Ward.  Joan has a background as a Senior Psychologist specialising in the Alcohol and Other Drugs field, she spent many years in a major public hospital in this important and challenging role.   Her work on the Central Coast continued the journey of supporting others as she worked for a major provider of services to people doing in tough – including women experiencing family violence and homelessness.  Joan is passionate about her local area and enjoys walking, bike riding and best of all giving back to her community as a passionate award-winning Community Gardener.  If anyone would like to see a sample of her work, she suggests you take a visit to the Garden situated in Marine Parade next to The Entrance Surf Club.
