Your Central Coast Labor Team Launches Campaign

Your Labor Team launched its Central Coast Council Campaign today with a full complement of three candidates in each of the five wards.

After four years with no elected councillors your Local Labor Team will focus on:

  • Helping with the cost of living – keeping council service fees down

  • Protecting our unique coastal environment - extending our Coastal Open Space System (COSS)

  • Delivering a core services guarantee - including roads, drainage, sporting fields and childcare

  • Ensuring infrastructure keeps up with development - so existing residents aren’t disadvantaged.

West Gosford Ward is led by former Senator & MP, Belinda Neal, who will apply her extensive experience to ensure the financial sustainability of the council, so ratepayers aren’t left paying the bill.

The community is entitled to expect that the council is well run and not accumulating debt. We will ensure the administration is accountable

We also feel strongly about protecting our unique coastal environment and extending our Coastal Open Space System.

Kyle MacGregor will be leading the Wyong Ward, drawing on his experience as a Councillor and his profession as a teacher. He has a particular interest in supporting families and childcare.

Budgewoi is led by former nurse, Helen Crowley, who wants to prioritise listening to residents and the delivery of core services like roads and footpaths.

East Gosford Team leader, Sharon Walsh, is deeply engaged in the community and believes listening and building trust is fundamental. She is particularly interested in affordable housing and local employment.

Margot Castles is a true Local as the first candidate for The Entrance Ward. She will work to ensure local infrastructure keeps pace with development, so our community does not fall behind.

All are excited to be returning democracy to the Coast and will be putting the needs of residents first.
