Aboriginal Rangers and Traditional Cultural Land Management Practices

Wyong Labor are pleased to announce one of our flagship policies advocating for the Central Coast Council to adopt an Aboriginal Ranger and Traditional Cultural Land Management Practice Pilot Programme. 

Wyong Labor understands the sacred connection to Country, our waterways, our bushland and sites that are of cultural significance to the Aboriginal community. 

Wyong Labor believes that the oldest continual civilisation in world history has great knowledge to share with the Central Coast’s current residents that we all can benefit from. 

Aboriginal Rangers managing local land through traditional cultural practice should be a priority for the newly elected council after the September 14 Central Coast Council Election. 

The Central Coast is the perfect place for a pilot programme to go ahead and for all our community to benefit.

Central Coast Labor have two Indigenous candidates running for office in Melanie Gould in Wyong Ward and Matthew Jeffrey in The Entrance Ward.
